Direct Admission In BMSIT
In India, most engineering colleges, including BMSIT, admit students based on their performance in national or state-level entrance examinations such as JEE (Joint Entrance Examination), KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test), and COMEDK (Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka).
The admission process at BMSIT typically involves the following steps:
- Candidates must appear for the relevant entrance examination and obtain a valid score.
- Based on the entrance examination score, candidates must apply to BMSIT through the college website or the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) portal.
- Candidates shortlisted based on their entrance examination scores will be called for counseling and seat allotment.
- Candidates must pay the admission fees and submit the required documents to secure admission.
It is important to note that direct admission or management quota admission may be available at some colleges, including BMSIT, but it usually involves additional fees and may be subject to specific eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidates shall have passed the 2nd year Pre University or 12th standard or equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects – Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology, or Electronics. The Candidate should have secured not less than 45% of aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages for admission to engineering. For Engineering Admission through Management Quota in BMSIT&M, the minimum percentage of marks expected is 60% as per the current norms of the management.

The Placement and Training Cell was established during the year 2004. The very first batch of graduated students were placed from the campus in 2005-06. The PT Cell is fully sustained and provides complete placement solutions to the students of the institute and BMSIT&M has a good placement track record among the top-ranked engineering colleges in Bengaluru. There has been a steady increase in the number of recruiting organizations since its establishment and at present we have 300+ organizations where BMSIT&M alumni are making a difference, both to the glory of the organization and the institute, bringing an active change in the society. A complete training solution is provided involving in-house faculty members, outsourced training partners, and industry interactions.
