DECADE OF EXPANSION

With the objective of imparting contemporary technologies in the field of Telecommunication Engineering, MSRIT started the Department of Telecommunication Engineering in the year 1997 affiliated with Bangalore University.
With the advancement in technologies and challenges faced in the healthcare sector, MSRIT with the intention of creating skilled manpower and exploring the plethora of opportunities started the Department of Medical Electronics in 1996.

Formerly Known as M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Ramaiah Institute of Technology offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree programs in the field of Engineering, Business & Management Studies, Architecture, and Computer Applications. Initially, RIT was affiliated with Mysore University, later with Bangalore University (until 2002), and now Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Since August 2007, RIT has been academically autonomous for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. While VTU still awards the degrees, the college has academic freedom in framing its own schemes of study, curricula, and student evaluation.
