About BMSCE

Management Quota Direct Admission in BMSCE 2023. In the history of Karnataka, the name of the Late Businayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah (BMS) occupies a prominent place in the field of Philanthropy. The Maharaja of Mysore honored him with the title of Raja Karya Prasaktha in 1946.
He started the B.M.S. College of Engineering in the same year. He had foreseen the urgent need for high-quality technical education in India, even before independence. The ideals for which Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah stood and continued inspiring his legacy’s inheritors.

After the demise of “Sri. B.M.Sreenivasaiah”, his dynamic and enterprising son Sri. B. S. Narayan took over the reins of the college. The institution grew from strength to strength under his able guidance.
He was also instrumental in initiating international collaborative programs such as training foreign students under International Co-operation Division (ICD) and cross-cultural programs with Melton Foundation.

In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2022), the Institution is ranked 83rd among the top engineering colleges in the Country.
The College was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with the highest grade of A++ in the Second Cycle: with a CGPA of 3.83 on a scale of four which is the highest in the Country. The re-accreditation status is valid from 28.03.2019 to 28.03.2024.
BMSCE is listed as a lead innovator for the years 2020 and 2021 by Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science) based on the Derwent World Patent Index.
In the Week Best Colleges Survey 2022, the Institution is ranked in 6th position among the top private engineering Colleges in the country.

BMS College UG Admission 2023

BMSCE offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) / Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degrees at the undergraduate level. The basic eligibility for these courses is having passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination. B.Arch. is a 5-year course and B.Tech./B.E. degrees have a 4-year duration. Candidates can get the application form from the college’s official website. After filling out the form, the candidates have to send the form along with the application fee to BMS Educational Trust, Bull Temple Road, Bangalore.

The admissions to B.Tech and B.E. courses are granted on the basis of the candidate’s merit in the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET). The entrance test will have 180 multiple-choice questions of 1 mark each. The exam will have three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section will have 60 questions. The candidates will get 3 hours to complete the exam. There will be no negative marking. However, in the event of a tie in the test score, the principle of least negative responses (Number of wrong answers) will be adopted. In addition, if required, other methods may be adopted to break ties. The entrance test is based on the existing syllabus of 10 + 2 / 12th STD / 2nd PUC.
