Eligibility

Nationality

The applicant should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO / OCI.
NRI applicants can directly apply under the ‘NRI Category’ through the NRI application form. (https://admissions.vit.ac.in/ugnriapplication).
Foreign applicants who studied/studied abroad can apply directly through the International application form. (Will be available shortly).

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on the rank secured through CBT (Computer Based Test) VITEEE 2023.
Selected candidates can participate in online counseling based on their ranking. They can give options for specific campuses, programs, and categories of fees. Allotment will be based on the matching of the rank obtained and available options.
Candidates with ranks up to 1 Lakh are eligible for counseling at Vellore and Chennai campuses.
VIT will verify the eligibility of candidates after completing the tuition fee payment on or before the stipulated date. Candidates are required to produce documents on the day of coming to the campus or as and when asked for, by the Office of Admissions. Provisional Admission offered during counseling will be valid ONLY if the eligibility is fulfilled.
In case of a situation wherein the eligibility criteria are not applicable, the decision of the VIT will be final.

Qualifying Examination Performance

Applicants applying for Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2023 should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
Applicants applying for Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2023 should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) for the following categories:
Applicants belonging to SC/ST
Applicants hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. Certificates to prove community/nativity should be produced at the time of counseling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

VITEEE Counselling 2022 Process

The counseling procedure for allocating different branches of engineering is based on the All India Rank in VITEEE 2022. Eligible students must register for counseling on the website of VIT. Only the registered aspirants can attend the VITEEE Counselling 2022 round. You have to download your provisional letter for counseling from the official website.

Candidates must follow the below steps to participate in VITEEE Counselling:

Step 1: Registration

Candidates have to Register for VITEEE Counselling and reach you on time at your counseling center.
Candidates will be informed through SMS or email about the schedule of VITEEE Counselling

Step 2: Document Verification

Visit the required VITEEE Counselling Centre will all the required documents.
Only after the successful verification of documents, you will be considered for further steps.

Step 3: Seat Allotment

Slot and day-wise vacant seats will be updated by VIT.
Candidates will be allotted seats as per their VITEEE rank, preference of course and college, and the number of available seats. Allotment of branch and Campus is final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
The candidate must decide for certain whether he wants to join the program based on the branch allotted to him before paying the fees.

Step 4: Fees Payment

After the confirmation of a seat from the counseling authority, you have to confirm your seat by paying the course fees.
