CMR Institute of Technology, Bangalore (CMRIT) The CMR Jnanadhara Trust was established in 1991 as a tribute to the late Sri Chikka Muniyappa Reddy, a good visionary and presenter who believed that each individual deserves access to quality education. In accordance with this vision, the CMR educational institutes were supported, to allow every student an opportunity at an impressive, value-based, and all-around education. The Trust supports and manages all the activities of the CMR group of institutions. CMRIT is located off ITPL Road (aka Whitefield Road) in Bangalore, not too far from the Outer ring road. However, few BMTC buses, 500C from Banashankari or some other 500-series buses, go outside the college. In terms of accessibility, CMRIT is a Technical institution affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University.
