Eligibility and selection criteria:

The candidate should have passed 10+2
The candidate should have studied Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects and one of Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or any vocational subject as optional.
The vocational subject must be related to either the chemical, civil, computer, electrical, or mechanical streams.
The candidate should have scored 50% marks.
The candidate should have taken the MET for selection
Those who qualify for the MET will have to go for MET counseling.
After five rounds of counseling, the selections will be made.

Admission Procedure

Admission to Manipal Institute of Technology can be attained through Manipal University- Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) which is carried out at centers across India.
It is a computer-based exam and consists of 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and logical reasoning and spans a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
MAHE offers three chances for a student to take up the entrance exam subject to additional payment and availability of vacancies.
Unlike other entrance exams, the score for your performance in the online based test will be displayed immediately after the exam ends depending on which you will be eligible to appear for counseling.
