RV College Of college of Engineering Established in 1963 with three engineering branches namely Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical, today RVCE offers 12 Under Graduate Engineering programs, 16 Master’s Degree programs, and Doctoral Studies. Located 13 km from the heart of Bangalore City – the Silicon Valley of India, on Mysore Road. The sprawling campus is spread over an area of 16.85 acres (16 acres & 34 guns) set in sylvan surroundings.

Eligibility criteria

Direct admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) program offered by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at R V College of Engineering, Bangalore, India.

The eligibility criteria for B. Tech are:

Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination from any recognized board/university
A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in B. Tech courses taken after passing out of 12th standard
A minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examinations passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects
A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the HSC examination

Entrance Exam

Direct admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) program offered by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at R V College of Engineering, Bangalore, India.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance examination held for B.E engineering admission.

45% of the total seats in RV College is reserved for the Karnataka state students.

KEA or Karnataka Exams Authority conducts the KCET entrance test.

The cut-off rank for RVCE through the K-CET exam varies for all different B.E programs.

RV College annual tuition fee through the K-CET exam is ninety thousand per year.

Application Process

The admission procedure consists of two stages. In the first stage, the candidate has to appear for the entrance test conducted by the University.

This test is designed to assess the aptitude of the candidates. Candidates who qualify for this test are then called for a personal interview. The final selection is based on the performance in both these tests.

Entrance Test–

This test is held once a year. The test is conducted in three parts. The first part is objective-type multiple-choice questions. The second part is descriptive-type essay writing. The third part is a group discussion.

Personal Interview–

In this interview, the candidate is questioned about his/her academic background, personality, hobbies, etc. The interviewer observes the behavior of the candidate while he/she answers the questions. Based on the observations, the interviewer decides whether the candidate should be admitted into the college or not.
