The history of BMS institutions rewinds back to the year 1946 with the establishment of the first private engineering college in the country, BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE), by the late Sri B.M Sreenivasaiah. Ragini Narayan, the successor of Late Sri B.S Narayan and the donor trustee and Member Secretary of BMS Educational Trust and it is one of the best egg colleges in Bengaluru. Eligibility Criteria

The candidates shall have passed the 2nd year Pre-University or 12th standard or equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects – Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology, or Electronics. The Candidate should have secured not less than 45% of aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages for admission to engineering. Student Activities:

An annual Tech fest called “UTSAHA” is usually held in the month of April. This event is organized completely by the student committee with some members of the staff.

This fest showcases many events from rock concerts to competitions in technology such as robotics, and coding, and is attended by a large student population drawn from colleges from all over the country.

Many student clubs and department clubs have also been formed so that students can enhance their skills and knowledge.

Alumni Meet:

BMS Institute of Technology and Management, Bangalore initially started its alumni meet in 2013, and since then every year alumni meet is organized. The pass-out batches attend alumni meet and guide our current students about future perspectives of their careers.

Placement

The Department of Placement and Training was established during the year 2004. The very first batch of students under this department was placed from the campus in 2005-06. Initially, the placement department collaborated with the department on the BMSCE campus. As of date the department is fully sustained and provides complete placement solutions to the students of the institute and BMSITM has a good placement record in the ranking of engineering colleges in Bangalore.

There has been a steady increase in the number of recruiting organizations since its establishment and at present, we have around 150 organizations wherein BMSIT alumni are making a difference, both to the glory of the company and an active change in society.

The college has 100% placements for all branches. Corporations like Microsoft, Yahoo, and Amazon pick up some students from the Cesium & IS branches. HCL, TCS, and Wipro are the foremost recruiters for all branches.

The school has such smart name-associated relationships with corporations like HCL that they don’t even take an interview of the candidate, straightway recruits them to support their mixture marks. Different branches conjointly get their core corporations e.g. Volvo involves recruiting mechanical students.
