The parent institution of Cummins College is Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS). ‘Bharat Ratna’ Recipient, Maharshi Karve, established MKSSS in 1896 with the mission of women’s empowerment through education.

MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women is an autonomous College from the Academic Year: 2016-2017. As an Autonomous Institute, College can design the program structure and Course Contents of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. College Conducts Examinations adhering to the rules and regulations laid down by Governing body of the College. On successful completion of the program, the student receives a degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The college of CCEW is popularly known as Oxford of the East. AICTE has approved the Institute, and all the graduates of CCEW are affiliated with Pune University. Admission Process

For Undergraduate Programme

The college participates in the Centralized Admission procedure. Government rules are applicable to us. Students have to apply through the online portal for admission as per the directives of the Government. Eligibility, admission rules, etc. for centralized admission procedure will be followed as per the directives of the Government of Maharashtra

College is also having a supernumerary quota for PIO/OCI/FN/CIWGC students, approved by AICTE & Government of Maharashtra. After successful registration on Government Portal, interested students may contact to College office for the Application form and submit the application.

For Direct Second-Year Admissions: – Lateral Entry Seats: 10% of Sanctioned Intake for Engineering

CCEW offers B. Tech at UG level, M. Tech at PG level, and Ph.D. at Doctoral level programs.
B. Tech course at CCEW is offered in five specializations with varied in several intakes.
Students applying for a B. tech course at CCEW must have passed in 10+2 board examination with 50% marks.
The selection for Admission to B. Tech at CCEW is based on MAH-CET and JEE Main scores.
All the students applying for B. tech at CCEW will have to appear in MAH-CET conducted by DTE.
The Final Selection for B. tech at CCEW is based on CAP rounds.
CCEW offers M. Tech courses in three specializations to the graduates.
Applying for M. Tech, students must have passed B.E or B. Tech from a recognized board.

Some students pursue higher education at IITs, other engineering colleges, and management colleges in India. 3 students have pursued MS at Purdue University, USA through the MoU between the College and Purdue University. In addition to this, some students seek admission for MS in other universities abroad.

Students are placed in reputed companies such as Google, Microsoft, Cisco, Avaya, IBM, Barclays, Pubmatic, General Electric, Cummins India, Deloitte, Seagate, Infosys, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, KPIT, and Persistent Systems. The maximum package of salary offered is 16 lakhs per annum. On average, 70% of students are placed every year through Campus Recruitment.

The students have won trophies in Purushottam Karandak and Firodiya, the cultural events. As a result, the department has fetched Best Class Award 7 times and Best Department Award 5 times.
