PES University

Social Impact Pes University by Direct Admission. Established in 1988, it is focused on the following educational areas: Engineering, Management, Law, Economics, Commerce, Architecture, Design, Psychology, Arts, Medicine and Life Sciences. The institution offers foundation courses in these areas, as well as specializations, with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree. The college was established as PES University in 2013, as a private university. There are 3 campuses under PES University in Bangalore, Ring Road Campus located at Banashankari 3rd stage Outer Ring Road Bangalore, Electronic City Campus located at Electronic City House Road Bangalore and Hanmumanth Nagar Campus located at Banashankari 1st stage Bangalore.

Faculty and research

Crucible of Research and Innovation (CORI) is a multi-disciplinary research center at PES University. It was inaugurated by Dr .C. N. R. Rao (former Director, of the Indian Institute of Science) on 7 February 2010. It has research facilities and a set of dedicated research staff who carry out research in various areas.

The Centre for Intelligent Systems (CIS) is a research center at PES University that researches on topics like Control Systems, Speech, Image and Signal Processing, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Low Power VLSI design. Selected students do internships in the PES Innovation Lab (formerly Microsoft Innovation Lab) on the university campus.

Scholarships and Funding

Scholarship 1

MRD Scholarships – 40% tuition fee waiver for the Top 20% of students.
If a student is among the top 20% of his/her class (section) in terms of SGPA for a particular semester, then he/she will get a tuition fee waiver of 20% for that semester. This applies to every semester. Hence, a student would be eligible to receive 40% tuition fee waiver if he/she is in the top 20% of their class for both semesters of an academic year.

Many corporations offer scholarships for our students in the final year of their education recognizing their merit.
Rural Scholarships:
PES University offers free engineering education for a select number of students coming from rural backgrounds every year.

Admission criteria

PESU admits 40% of its students to undergraduate courses based on their Karnataka CET ranks and 60% of its students based on PESSAT (the university’s own entrance test) ranks. PESU also admits students under a Management quota, which may not place any merit requirements. There is a lateral entry scheme in place, by which students holding diploma degrees can directly enter the second year of study in engineering. On graduating, students receive a Bachelor of Technology degree.

Students are admitted to postgraduate courses based on their GATE test scores as well as on their Post Graduate Karnataka CET scores. Upon graduating, they receive a Master of Technology degree.

MOCK TEST

The official mock test is made available to the candidates appearing for JEE Main.
Candidates can take the Mock Test to understand the pattern of the computer-based test and make themselves familiar with the interface.
Mock test is for practice purposes only.
The Mock tests are made available to candidates via National Test Abhyas, available on the website and Play Store.

PRACTICE TEST

NTA will set up Test Practice Centres for candidates to enable them to practice and be comfortable with taking a Computer Based Test (CBT).

This facility is completely free of cost.

Candidates can register on the NTA website where they are provided with a convenient center near their location to practice.

PROCEDURE

The aspiring candidate should furnish all the details and choose a password while filling up the Online Application. After successful submission of the data, an Application number will be generated which will be used for subsequent logins.
Once the candidate has registered, he/she is required to upload scanned images of his/her photograph and signature.
The candidate is then required to pay the Examination Fee which can be done by Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking/ UPI/ Paytm.
Once the payment is done, an acknowledgment page will be generated. Candidates are advised to save it for future reference.
