About College

Management Quota Engineering Admission in Symbiosis. Based on the dream of Dr. S. B. Mujumdar Sir, Chancellor of SIU and creator of Symbiosis, of producing Gentlemen Engineers, the students are trained in foreign languages, history of science & technology, service learning, creative and critical thinking, design thinking, tinkering, human values and ethics, experiential learning, project-based learning, and Internet of things. The students are offered a special diploma from SIBM and courses from other Symbiosis Institutes. Online courses from Coursera, MOOC, SWAYAM, etc are offered to the students to enhance the quality of education.

The honors/ minor courses in all disciplines are offered to the students to gain in-depth knowledge in a specialized area, which is suitable for their future growth. The students are given an opportunity to work on different technical projects in a group under the guidance of faculty members producing an outcome in terms of paper publications/ patents.

The students undergo a semester-long Industry Internship with a stipend ranging from Rs. 10k to 50k.

The students at SIT are from all parts of the country. This diversity and their excellent schooling and family background create an environment best suited for peer learning. They are enthusiastic to supplement their learning by participating in competitions, organizing events, etc.

Eligibility

Indian Students

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subjects. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
Good Scores in any one of the following entrance exams: SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SIT EEE) or JEE (Main) or Any State Government Engineering Entrance Examination.

International Students (NRI / PIO/ Foreign Nationals)

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subjects. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
Do not have to appear for an entrance exam (SIT EEE/ JEE-Main/ Any State Government Engineering Entrance Examination) in India

IB / Cambridge Board (IGCSE) Students:

Following eligibility rules will be followed according to equivalence to 10+2 school level certificate of International Baccalaureate / Cambridge board student:

a] International Baccalaureate (IB) Board

The candidate must have been awarded IB Diploma or the IB Diploma Course (i.e. IB Certificate) as a qualification for entry to the professional course at the institute and is required to have passed the subjects of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at Higher Level (HL), with a minimum score of 24 credits. Students awarded the IB Diploma should also have completed other mandatory requirements (like CAS, TOK, and EE) towards the award of the IB Diploma.
Good Scores in any one of the following entrance exams: SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SIT EEE) or JEE (Main) or Any State Government Engineering Entrance Examination.

The policy of admission against vacant seats under reserved category

In case some seats remain vacant in reserved categories, these will be converted to General Categories after seeking approval from the Vice-Chancellor of Symbiosis International University.

Life at SIT
