Management Quota Direct Admission in KJ Somaiya. Padmabhushan Shri Karamshi Jethabhai Somaiya, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, established Somaiya Vidyavihar in 1959 with a vision to serve the educational needs of society at an affordable cost. Somaiya Vidyavihar, spread over 72 acres (290,000 m2) of green land, was home to faculties including Management, Engineering, Humanities, Science, Commerce, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Journalism & Mass Communication, Linguistics, and Religion.

KJ SIMSR was established in 1981 as a part of the K. J. Somaiya Trust and Somaiya Vidyavihar with the objective of providing state-of-the-art education in management and allied areas. The institute was inaugurated by Manmohan Singh, former prime minister of India.

It offers programs including Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Master of Management Studies, Ph.D. programs in Management, and Management Development Programmes. It is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and/or approved by AICTE. The institute is certified as ISO 9001:2008. It has received the SAQS Accreditation by AMDISA. It is a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)

K J Somaiya Institute of Management is led by the Director, Dr. Monica Khanna. She is a professor in the area of Marketing Management and has an academic experience of 25 years in the area of Marketing Management, Brand Management, Marketing Research, and Services Marketing. She has an industry experience of 4 years in the area of Engineering & Industrial Automation and has worked with Siemens Ltd, Mumbai. Dr. Monica Khanna is passionate about developing cases based on Indian businesses.

Dr. Monica Khanna has great Research Interests in the area of Brand Management, Consumer Behavior with a focus on University Branding, Brand Challenges of Heritage Brands, Impulse Buying Behavior, Online Buying Behavior, and Consumer Behavior among Low-Income Groups in India. Recognized for her super achievements she has been bestowed with many awards like Excellence in Teaching; Women Super Achievers Award; Best Teacher of Management among others. She has remained on the editorial board of international journals and is a keen book reviewer.

Dr. Monica Khanna has been instrumental in launching niche MBA programs like the MBA Healthcare, MBA Sports Management, and Case Research Centre, building quality in management education through NBA accreditations, and the International AACSB accreditation

Any Graduate with a minimum of 50 % marks in Graduation can apply for this program
Applicants Must need to appear for any of the one entrance exams like CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT or NMAT
Only students who appeared between 1^st Jan 2023 to 31^st Jan 2023 for the GMAT exam are eligible to apply for the program.
Only 1^st Attempt’s Score of NMAT is considered by KJ Somaiya of Management Studies for its MBA programs
Students can Apply for one or more programs in a single application.

Hostel

There are two separate hostels for girls and boys, namely, MAITREYI and SANDIPANI respectively.
The hostel has facilities like internet, Laundromat, a student mess, an activity room, and a well-equipped gym.
Recently, the Girls’ Hostel MAITREYI was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis.

Highly trained and experienced doctors, Dr. Shreerang Joshi (Medical Councilor) and Dr. Hemlata Kawde are available on the campus.
