MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Management Quota Fees. M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) was started in 1962 by Late Dr. M S Ramaiah, our Founder Chairman who was a renowned visionary, philanthropist, and pioneer in creating several landmark infrastructure projects in India. Noticing the shortage of talented engineering professionals required to build a modern India, Dr. M S Ramaiah envisioned MSRIT as an institute of excellence imparting quality and affordable education. Today, MSRIT stands tall as one of India’s finest names in Engineering Education and has produced around 35,000 engineering professionals who occupy responsible positions across the globe.

In 2002, M. Tech in Digital Electronics and Communication was started.
M. Tech Software Engineering was started in the year 2003.
The year 2004 witnessed starting of three M.Tech programs namely Computer Applications in Industrial drives, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and Digital Communications.
ISO 9001 Certification was conferred on MSRIT in the year 2000 and re-certifications were obtained in the years 2003, 2007, and 2010.
MSRIT voluntarily submitted applications to the NBA for the accreditation of several of its major UG programs. After the assessment, in February 2001, NBA accorded accreditation to all the major departments of the Institute for their UG programs. Since then the Institute has been consistently participating in the accreditation process.
MSRIT participated in and successfully completed Phase I of TEQIP, the Technical Education Quality Improvement program, an initiative of the Government of India with funding from the World Bank. MSRIT has been selected to participate in Phase II of TEQIP also under sub–component 1.2 with a focus on PG Education and Research.

Eligibility (B.E.)

A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 patterns of examination (equivalent to the two-year Pre-University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.
The eligibility for admission is 45% in the case of the General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in the case of SC/ST, Category-1, and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less than the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).

Eligibility (B.Arch.)

A candidate who has passed the 10 + 2 patterns of examination (equivalent to the two-year Pre-university in Karnataka).
Admission to Five years B.Arch., Course with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level of examination and English is one of the Languages.
“No candidate shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the 10 + 2 scheme of examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the 10 + 2 level examination”.
This provided that the candidate should also appear and secure a minimum of 40% marks in NATA. (Including SC / ST, Category-1, and OBC Category candidates) conducted by the Council of Architecture. NATA TO BE HELD ON 14 April 2019 and 07 July 2019.

10 + 2 pattern of education which is equivalent to Pre-university of Karnataka, India with Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum 50% of marks in the optional subjects (as per VTU eligibility criteria for the year 2019-20).

NRIs- Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries are eligible for NRI Quota (as per The Gazette of India – 2004)
Foreign Nationals – Citizens of all countries other than India. (as per The Gazette of India – 2004)
PIO – Persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who or either of his parents or any of his grandparents was a citizen of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India.

Through Entrance Exams: Apply for Comed-K and K-Cet entrance exams for admission to MSRIT and MSRUAS colleges through counseling and merit.

MSRUAS >> Rank must be below ten thousand

Through Management Quota: Direct admission in MSRIT & MSRUAS through Management quota is possible on class 10th and 12th marks.

Donations may vary for both campuses and all engineering branches for management seats.

M.S. Ramaiah Admission Entrance Exams

Comed-K: For B.E/B.Tech admission in MSRIT. More than 30% of seats are given in Comed-K counseling for students from all parts of India.

K-CET: For Karnataka state students who want to join MSRIT for B.E engineering. More than 50% of seats are allocated to local students through KEA counseling.

NATA: For B. Architecture admission in MSRIT, apply for National Aptitude Test in Architecture [NATA] entrance exams.

Direct Admission in Ramaiah by Management Quota

Direct admissions are for students who have good scores in 10+2 but failed to attain a merit rank in any of the competitive exams.

The fee structure for management seats is slightly higher than the fee of the students from entrance exams.

A candidate who has passed the 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and has obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the optional subjects is eligible for Engineering/Technology courses. In the case of SC, ST, and OBC category candidates, 40% of marks in qualifying exams are considered for direct admission in MSRI.
