Computer Science and Engineering

(Artificial Intelligence & Data Science)

The School of Computer Engineering and Technology is one of the largest departments at MIT-WPU. A specialization program in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is one of the new programs offered at the school.

The program offers the student the latest technologies focused on the domain of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. Over the four years of the program, students will learn the skills and knowledge required in the domain of AI & DS. The program will enable the student to various career aspects as Data Scientist, Business Analyst, and Researcher to tackle real-life problems in the field of Machine learning, Statistics, knowledge discovery, and data visualization.

Civil Engineering (Smart Infrastructure & Construction)

This program provides a range of technologies that can be applied to solve infrastructure problems associated with aging infrastructure and increasing demands. The potential for infrastructure and urban improvement remains unrealized, however, due to technical, financial, and social constraints and criticisms that limit the implementation of smart city concepts for infrastructure management. Smart technologies include sensors, crowdsourcing, and citizen science, actuators, data transmission, the Internet of Things, big data analytics, data visualization, and blockchain, which can be used for infrastructure management.

B.Tech Materials Science and Engineering

B.Tech.(Materials Science and Engineering) (MSE) is a cross-disciplinary program that focuses on how materials are designed and developed for a particular application, how they are manufactured, processed, and recycled, and how they actually perform in practical applications. It combines engineering sciences such as Fluid Mechanics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Kinetics, and Thermodynamics with basic sciences such as Physics and Chemistry that delve into the Structure of Matter from atomic and millimeter scale and Mathematics.

Emphasis is given to solving real-world problems stemming from frontier areas such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology, energy, manufacturing, and other major engineering disciplines. Bioengineering

Bioengineering is a multidisciplinary program that integrates principles of biological, physical, chemical, mathematics, and life sciences along with different aspects of chemical, mechanical, electrical and computer engineering. It inherits knowledge from molecular to organ system levels, and develops biomaterials and devices, involving information and technology management, as well as methods for assessment and evaluation of technology, for biological applications.

Bioengineers play an important role in the design of medical devices such as artificial internal organs, imaging machines, cardiac pacemakers, implants, etc. B. Tech program in Bioengineering has a special emphasis on interdisciplinary areas such as bioinformatics, biomechanics, bioenergy, bio-nanotechnology, biopolymers, biomedical electronics, etc. The major sectors in Bioengineering are Biomedical, Biopharma, Bio Agriculture, Bio Industrial, Bio Services

Tech program for Robotics and Automation.

Petroleum Engineering
(Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning)

Our Petroleum Engineering program is considered one of the most unique and lucrative programs in India. Eligibility Criteria

Mandatory:

  • All B. Tech applicants should have appeared in JEE 2023 / MHTCET 2023 / PERA 2023 / MHTCET-B* 2023 / NEET* 2023. [*Applicable only for Bioengineering program]
  • Physics, Mathematics & English is Compulsory with Chemistry/Biotechnology* or Biology*/Technical Vocational Courses in 10+2/Class 12th or equivalent examination. [*Applicable only for Bioengineering program]
  • For Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science), CSE (Computer Science and Business Systems), CSE (Cyber Security & Forensics), Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Electrical & Computer Engineering and Bioengineering applicant should have a minimum 60% aggregate score in PCM/PCB or Physics & Mathematics with any Technical Vocational Subject.

OR

  • Minimum 60% aggregate score in Diploma in Engineering & Technology in an appropriate branch from a UGC-approved institution (without backlog).
  • For Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Smart Infrastructure & Construction), Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Robotics and Automation), Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) and Materials Science & Engineering should have a minimum of 50% aggregate score in PCM/PCB or Physics & Mathematics with any Technical Vocational Subject.

OR

  • Minimum 50% aggregate score in Diploma in Engineering & Technology in an appropriate branch from a UGC-approved institution (without backlog).

Selection Criteria

The selection process for B.Tech programs is based on JEE 2023 / MHTCET 2023 / PERA 2023 / MHTCET-B* 2023 / NEET* 2023 score and a Statement of Purpose (500 words) written by the student [*Applicable only for Bioengineering program] for those candidates who meet the Eligibility criteria.

(In case of Class 12th/HSC Results are declared post the offer, submission of proof of eligibility documents remains the sole responsibility of the candidate before classes commence)
