It partnered with ISRO in 2010 to build the Stud Sat Nano satellite and RIT was chosen in 2012 to join the consortium of colleges that would assist ISRO in the StudSat-2 project. The institute is also credited for the development of India’s first unmanned air vehicle (UAV) with an autopilot system.

IEEE: The College has an IEEE Student branch. The IEEE-MSRIT celebrates its tech fest Aavishkaar each year with various competitions such as Algomach (On Spot Programming), Design and Debugging (Circuit debugging), Robotics, Cyber Treasure Hunt (CTH), Paper Presentation, Gaming, Tech Quiz, Product Design, 8086/8051 Programming, Amazing Race, Photoshop Contest are held along with Workshops.

TEDx MSRIT: This student organization conducted a national event in March 2012. The event involved speakers such as Atul Chitnis, Devi Prasad Shetty, Soumitra Bhattacharya Praveen Godkind, and others.

Velocity Racing: The combustion class Formula Student team came 13th overall in Formula Bharat 2020 with the cost and manufacturing team coming 4th.

Eligibility Criteria/Cut-off for Admissions 2023

It is an autonomous private engineering college located in the educational hub, Bangalore City. MSRIT is a part of the Gokula Education Foundation. MSRIT is the best among engineering institutions under VTU affiliation. In NIRF 2020 Rankings, it has secured the 59^th position for B Tech. In India Today’s 2020 Rankings, it has secured 27^th Rank for B Tech. NAAC accredits MSRIT with an ‘A’ Grade. Today, MSRIT stands as one of the finest engineering colleges in India. Admission to MSRIT Institute

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for admission in the B.E. course must pass the eligibility criteria. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam from a recognized university. The mandatory subjects should be Mathematics and Physics along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as optional subjects.

Candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in aggregation. For the SC/ST and OBC students, aggregate marks are 40%.
