2-year PGDM or PGPM holds an almost equal reputation.

PGPM (Post Graduate Programme in Management) is not a degree but a certification course. It is a typical 1-2 years program and doesn’t possess any sort of recommendation as it is generally offered by colleges without affiliations.

Difference between MBA and PGPM Program

There is no difference between the MBA program and the PGPM program except in terms of certification.
On completion of the MBA program you will be awarded an MBA degree from a UGC-recognized University.
PGPM is a career-oriented program that prepares students and equips them for careers in corporate. On completion of the PGPM program, you will be awarded a PGPM completion certificate from IBS. However, these students can enroll for MBA as private candidates in flexi/ distance learning mode from any University and obtain an MBA degree in addition to the PGPM Program.
