Direct Admission Engineering College Management Quota. A Bachelor of Technology is an undergraduate academic degree conferred after the completion of a three or four-year program of studies at an accredited university or accredited university-degree level colleges.
In India, the Bachelor of Technology degree is used by highly ranked and autonomous institutes such as the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT formerly UDCT) for professional engineering programs. What is BE?
In India, the Bachelor of Engineering is a degree awarded by many universities. A Bachelor of Engineering degree is awarded to a student who has completed four years of courses (eight semesters) in engineering. The entry to BE is 10+2 years of schooling or completion of a Pre University course (PUC). Diploma holders in engineering are also eligible for entry into B.E Diploma holders of engineering enter degree course, by a lateral entry which gives some concessions in the study of subjects. The B.E degree is awarded by the university in the field of engineering in which the student has studied for four years.

Criteria Required for Engineering Admission
The minimum requirement for Admission to Engineering Course in India is Class 12th Std. Interested Students should pass class 12th or 10+2 or 2nd PUC or equivalent examination from any reputed University or Board with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. They must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one subject among Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, and English as a language subject.

Eligibility Criteria for BE/B.Tech
In order to secure admission to B.E/B. Tech the candidates need to have completed the 12th standard. Students who have completed equivalent courses too can apply for the course. There is a condition that it should be from a recognized institute. They need to have pursued Mathematics and also science during the 12th standard. The Science subjects should include both Physics and Chemistry. Many of the institutes prefer candidates who score at least 60% in these subjects. Also, it is a must in some of the institutes that the candidate should have pursued English as a subject. 50% is a must in this subject. The overall score should be at least 50%.
