Our founder Maharshi Karve sowed the seeds of empowerment for women through education in 1896. The small sapling that he planted over a century today has blossomed into a beautiful tree and today we have schools, colleges and hostels for working women and around 36 institutions under our umbrella. Advance in technology has opened new avenues in career for women. Our vision of “women empowerment through life enriching mantras of education” lead us to establish country’s first Engineering College exclusively for women. Everything inspiring on paper took constructive shape with financial assistance from Cummins Diesel (India) Foundation and Cummins College of Engineering for Women was started in 1991.

Affiliations and Approvals

MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra state, Mumbai.

Cummins College offers five undergraduate programs, two postgraduate programs and a Ph.D. program. All undergraduates, postgraduates and Ph.D. programs are affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The college is spread over 4acres surrounded by a green environment, classrooms with Multimedia facilities, each department has separate laboratories, Seminar halls, Auditorium, Air conditional classrooms, a computer lab contains 1400 computers with internet facility and latest features, Sports facility, individual hostels for boys and girls, Gymnasium, Health center and Canteen/Cafeteria.

The UG programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation in 1998, 2002, 2006, 2012, 2016, and 2018. The college is also accredited by NAAC at “A” grade in 2012 and 2017 for next five years.

MKSSS, renowned education institutions for more than 100 years, started Engineering College exclusively for Women in 1991. Cummins India Foundation gave donation to start the college, hence name of the college is ‘Cummins College of Engineering for Women’.

Institute is spread over in 4 acres of land with green and beautiful campus.
All Classrooms are as per AICTE norms with Multimedia facilities.
Every department has a laboratory as per AICTE norms and with state-of-the-art equipment.

Eligibility Criteria

CCEW is a private Institute established in 1991 to provide quality education to women. This Institute is specially made for women and was founded by MKSSS. CCEW is the first women’s college in India that provides education in Engineering. The college of CCEW is popularly known as Oxford of the east. AICTE has approved the Institute, and all the graduates of CCEW are affiliated with Pune University. CCEW is also graded A by NAAC for the next five years. The College of CCEW offers Under Graduate Degree, Post Graduate Degree, and Doctoral Program. B. Tech course at CCEW is offered in five specializations with varied in several intakes. Students applying for a B. tech course at CCEW must have passed in 10+2 board examination with 50% marks. The selection for the Admission to B. Tech at CCEW is based on MAH-CET and JEE Main scores. All the students applying for B. tech at CCEW will have to appear in MAH-CET conducted by DTE. The Final Selection for B. tech at CCEW is based on CAP rounds.

Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s Cummins College of Engineering For Women is approved by AICTE and affiliated to ‘University of Pune’.

College follows admission rules laid down by ‘Director of Technical Education’, Maharashtra state.

AICTE & State Govt. has given the approval to run the two courses in two shifts… Cummins College is the first College to start the second shift.

Fees is declared by the Government of Maharashtra – Fees Regulating Authority. Rules declared by the Authority from time to time will be applicable to all the Students. For Reserved category Students, Government rules will be followed and subject to the submission of all the required documents.
