Vice President presents Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence to Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Dr Randeep Guleria. Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu presented the 22nd Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence to Renowned Pulmonologist and Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, Dr.Randeep Guleria. Dr Randeep Guleria receives the award in recognition of his outstanding work in the healthcare sector. The award ceremony was organized by Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi at the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Conference Hall in the Vice President House. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu said that “A big congratulation to Dr.Randeep Guleria for receiving the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri Award for Excellence, he is the rightful selection from jury members. I salute all the doctors for playing a major role in saving the life of people and COVID time they served the nation. The medical profession is the noble profession and rightful selection for this prestigious award. “After receiving the award Dr.Guleria said, “I feel deeply humbled to receive this honourable Lal Bahadur Shastri National Excellence Award 2021, a big thanks to jury members. Shastriji was a great leader and a role model for the new generation. All doctors have worked across the country to save a life during the pandemic and AIIMS Delhi becomes the first to fight COVID.
