Dayananda Sagar Institute of Technology (DSIT) a leading Polytechnic Institution was established in the year 1980, under the aegis of Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha (MGVP) vide Government Order No ED 88 TPE 80, Bangalore, dated 25th July 1980 with Civil, Mechanical & Electrical courses. Later, additional courses like Electronics, Computer Science, and Information Science were started in due course.

The college recruits only highly talented, qualified, and dedicated faculty to its College. The finest Library is allocated on the campus with the latest technology. It serves as the resource hub with the collection of books and journals. Hostels are available for both girls and boys separately within the campus. The college organizes seminars, workshops, teaching talks, sports, and extracurricular activities. With 1850 systems, a student information system (SIS), and several digital classrooms, it was one of the first education centers to get Wi-Fi in the country. Eligibility

2nd PUC/12th Std/equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with English as one of the languages and obtained 45%of marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/ Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics. In the case of candidates belonging to Karnataka SC/ST and other backward classes (Category 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B), the minimum marks for eligibility will be 40% in aggregate in optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

DSCE Admission Procedure:

Admission to DSCE is through state and national-level entrance exams and seats are offered based on merit. The admission is based on the performance of students in entrance exams like CET and COMEDK. The admission procedure starts in the month of April and concludes in the month of August. Students must fill out these forms online, the date of which is announced well in advance.

The minimum requirement is that the student must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The students must have an aggregate of 45% in Physics and Mathematics and any one of Chemistry / Computer Science / English / Biology / Electronics as optional subjects.

Admission can also be sought through Management Quota where a student must have an aggregate of 50% in 10+2 with 50% marks individually in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

A student must have a minimum of 85% attendance in each subject to be eligible for the end-semester exams. Anyone with an attendance of less than 85% will not be allowed to sit for the final examination.
