RVCE Eligibility Criteria

RVCE offers admission to BTech, MCA, and MTech courses. BTech admissions at RVCE are primarily based on merit in KCET. The institute considers COMDEK UGET scores in the case of students from outside Karnataka. To be eligible for admission to MTech courses, RVCE applicants must submit their GATE/ KPGCET/ KCET scores. RVCE MCA admission is based on merit in the K PGCET/ KMAT/ KCET.

General Merit Candidates:-

Passed 2nd PUC / 12th grade, / equivalent examination with English as one of the languages.
Obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Optional subjects can be Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Computer Science/ Electronics.
SC/ST & OBC Category Candidates:
Passed 2nd PUC / 12th grade, / equivalent examination with English as one of the languages.
Obtained a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
In cases where the marks obtained in Chemistry are less than the required aggregate percentage, the marks obtained in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics will be considered
