Step 1: Entrance ExamsCandidates must appear for one of the following exams:
– CAT
– XAT
– GMAT
Step 2: MICA Admission Test (MICAT)All candidates are assessed on MICAT, which consists of six sections:
– Psychometric (P)
– Verbal Ability (VA)
– Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QADI)
– General Awareness (GA)
– Divergent & Convergent Thinking (DCT)
– Descriptive Test (DT)
Step 3: Shortlist Preparation for GE-PI– Psychometric test is a qualifier.
– Candidates who qualify the Psychometric Test will be considered based on their CAT/XAT/GMAT performance (subject to a minimum cut-off).
– Those meeting the minimum cut-off in CAT/XAT/GMAT will be assessed in the following MICAT sections:
• Verbal Ability (VA)
• Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QADI)
• General Awareness (GA)
• Divergent & Convergent Thinking (DCT).
– Candidates qualifying the above sections will have their Descriptive Test (DT) evaluated.
– Shortlisted candidates for GE-PI will be based on MICAT-I and/or MICAT-II composite score, calculated as 50% CAT/XAT/GMAT and 50% MICAT.
Step 4: Merit List Preparation– Shortlisted candidates based on GE & PI will be considered for the merit list.
– Conditions for merit list consideration:
• Majority recommendation by all panel members of PI
• At least 3.5/5 in GE
• At least 4/5 in PI
– Final composite score will be calculated based on:
• CAT/XAT/GMAT: 20%
• MICAT: 30%
• GE: 20%
• PI: 30%
