COMEDK and Selection Process

The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association namely “Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka”, COMEDK also conducts entrance examinations for all students irrespective of state. After the COMEDK entrance test is administered and the test scores and rank lists have been published, centralized counselling will be conducted. Students are given the option of selecting the college of their choice during COMEDK counselling and can choose CMRIT at this time.

For Diploma Holders

Fast Admission Process through Direct Admission in CMRIT. Diploma Holders in engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in the final examination, conducted by the Board of Technical Examination, Government of Karnataka or its equivalent, are eligible for admission to the corresponding branch of second-year engineering. Candidates must take the Common Entrance Test (DCET) for Diploma students conducted by the CET Cell, Govt. of Karnataka. Seats will be allotted during the centralized counselling process conducted by the CET Cell.

Common Entrance Test (CET) and Selection Process

The Government of Karnataka conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) through the Karnataka Examination Authority. This entrance exam is a gateway to obtaining an engineering seat through the Government quota. The CET examines four subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Candidates who wish to seek admission to engineering courses should appear for the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics exams. Students are offered a choice of colleges based on their CET ranking at the time of CET counselling, and can choose CMRIT at the time of CET counselling.

NRI and foreign students

Fast Admission Process through Direct Admission in CMRIT. Admission to undergraduate programs in engineering shall be open to NRI / Foreign candidates who have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination recognized by AIU with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study. Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in PCM.

Management Admission Process
