Admission Procedure for UG Program

For the UG program, admission happens based on the COMEDK/CET scores. Once the candidate passes the entrance examination, the Karnataka government will release the ranks and the eligible colleges as per the rankings. Students must have passed the 2nd PUC/ 12th / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the languages with a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics/ Computers.
Candidates must also qualify for one of the entrance exams – CET/ COMED-K / JEE / AIEEE.

For Diploma Holders:

Diploma Holders in engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in the final examination, conducted by the Board of Technical Examination, Government of Karnataka or its equivalent, are eligible for admission in the Second Year of engineering.
Candidates must take the Common Entrance Test (DCET) for Diploma students conducted by the CET Cell, Govt. of Karnataka. Seats will be allotted during the centralized counseling process conducted by the CET Cell.

For NRI & Foreign students:

Admission to undergraduate programs in engineering shall be open to NRI / Foreign candidates who have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination recognized by AIU with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study.
Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in PCM.

Admission Procedure for PG Program

For the PG program, the students with the eligible criteria of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 45% marks aggregate can appear for any postgraduate master’s entrance test like PGCET, GATE, MAT, CMAT, or equivalent exams for appearing in the counseling arranged by Karnataka Government to get an admission in the CMRIT.

Admission 2024-25

CMR Institute of Technology admission takes place as direct admissions and under management quota. As the college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. The college takes direct admission in the counseling after the COMEDK /CET tests.

Placements:

When the college receives the job requirements, the students may register for the companies they want to interview with. The registered students’ details will be sent to the companies. On the day of the interview, the companies’ HR will conduct a series of interviews including, one-to-one discussion, written test, group discussion, and the final level of interview. Post which the offer letter will be released and the students will go through a pre-joining training process before being onboarded in the respective companies.
