Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) was established in the year 1979 to provide quality education in the ﬁeld of technology and thereby serve society. BIT has always been at the forefront of modern technology and has the distinction of being the ﬁrst College to introduce a full-ﬂedged degree in Computer Science and Engineering in Karnataka. Admission Process and Eligibility

The admission to First year BE courses in BIT is through three modes viz. KCET, Comed-K, and Management quota. The lateral entry admission of Diploma students to Second year BE is only through Diploma KCET. BIT Direct BTech Admission Stage.

Eligibility: General Merit Candidates

Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four-year B.E. degree course should have passed two years of P.U.C. / 12th examinations conducted by the Pre-University Board of Karnataka State or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Visvesvaraya Technology University. Students should have obtained a minimum of 45% of aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility: SC/ST & OBC (Cat-I, 2A, 2B, 3A 3B) Candidates

Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four-year B.E. degree course should have passed two years of P.U.C. / 12th examinations conducted by the Pre-University Board of Karnataka State or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Visvesvaraya Technology University. Students should have obtained a minimum of 40% of aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
