Campus Hiring

Each year, we invite our industry partners and other reputed organizations to the college campus to participate in the placement process for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs.
We get the job requirements, position description, eligibility criteria, salary details, and the company introduction note that we can share with students.
We publish the company details and their requirements to all students through a college internal portal.
Eligible and interested students apply for jobs by registering on the portal.
We send eligible and interested student lists to the company with all the student data like degree/department, date of birth, prior education marks, current CGPA, backlogs, etc.

Entrepreneurship

Basic Criteria BTech in CMRIT via Management Quota. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell (IEC) offers programs and seminars for those students who are interested in entrepreneurship. It first runs awareness sessions to get students to enroll with IEC. It then runs idea generation workshops with students and works with industry to get ideas accepted and sponsored to develop prototypes and experiment ideas. It then supports interested students to grow as entrepreneurs connecting to external partners and alumni.

CMRIT accepts scores from various national and state-level entrance examinations, including:

Common Entrance Test (CET)
Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA)

Selection Procedure

Screening of Applications:

The admissions committee reviews the submitted applications and shortlists candidates based on their eligibility criteria and merit.

Personal Interview/Counselling:

Shortlisted candidates are invited for a personal interview or counseling session. This interaction helps assess the candidate’s aptitude, aspirations, and suitability for the chosen program.

Seat Allotment:

After the interview/counseling process, the final selection is made, and seats are allotted based on the candidate’s performance and availability of seats in the desired program.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Program Duration:

4 years (8 semesters). Students must have passed the 2nd PUC/ 12th / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics/ Computers. (40% for Karnataka reserved category candidates).

Candidate must also qualify in one of the following entrance exams: CET/ COMED-K / JEE

2. For Diploma Holders

Diploma Holders in engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in the final examination, conducted by the Board of Technical Examination, Government of Karnataka or its equivalent, are eligible for admission to the corresponding branch of second-year engineering. Candidates must take the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) for Diploma students conducted by the CET Cell, Govt. of Karnataka. Seats will be allotted during the centralized counseling process conducted by the CET Cell.

3. For NRI & Foreign students

Admission to undergraduate programs in engineering shall be open to NRI / Foreign candidates who have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination recognized by AIU with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study. Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in PCM.
