Master of Business Administration (IDA)

‘Infrastructure development has been the government’s topmost growth agenda in recent years. Involvement of the private sector in developing and financing infrastructure has necessitated a demand for engineering professionals, who also have good exposure to domains of demand analysis, regulatory and governance framework, legal & policy guidelines, environmental & social issues, tendering, bidding & contractual management, etc. Hence, there is an urgent need of a large workforce of professionals having comprehensive & multifaceted skills for Infrastructure Planning, Development & Management.

SCMHRD’s unique program ‘MBA – Infrastructure Development and Management aims to ‘Build Capabilities to Make Infrastructure Happen’. The course content blends SCMHRD’s proven legacy of management education and a curriculum that has been designed by Industry experts. The course is exhaustively designed to deal with various issues and challenges in the development of infrastructure in India. At the same time, it provides a strong grounding in general managerial aspects like business strategies, supply chain management, and business laws. Master of Business Administration (BA)

MBA in Business Analytics programme aims to provide the students with conceptual and practical knowledge of business analytics along with a sound understanding of management theory and practice.
Corporate exposure to the practice of Business Analytics methods.
The programme is built on a solid foundation of programming in R and Python – the de facto standards for statistical computing and analysis. Students are also given a strong grounding in using SPSS and SAS with various add-on packages. Data visualization software like Tableau features strongly in the programme. All courses have a solid lab component with case studies provided by experts from the industry. Courses include cutting-edge technologies like the Internet of Things and Mobile Analytics.
The courses in the MBA Analytics programme are designed with active participation by people in the industry working with Analytics and Big Data. In addition, all courses are taught by the people in the industry who helped design the courses from a holistic perspective.

Master of Business Administration (Executive)

SCMHRD’s Master of Business Administration (Executive) is a 2.5 Years (30 Months) program specially designed for working professionals in and around Pune. Candidates who opt for this programme will have classes on weekends for 8 hours a day.

Eligibility Criteria for General MBA Admission at SCMHRD Pune

  • The Candidate must be graduate from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ST candidates).
  • Final year graduation students also can apply, though they should not have any backlog at the time of admission. 

IM Admission at SCMHRD Pune

  • The Candidate must be an engineering Graduate (B.E. / B. Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Power Electronics, Electronics & Telecom, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Oil and Gas, Petroleum, Infrastructure, Urban Planning/Design/Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Energy Engineering, and B.Arch disciplines only) from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. (45% marks for SC/ST candidates).
  • Final year graduation students also can apply, though they should not have any backlog at the time of admission.

BA Admission at SCMHRD Pune

  • The Candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from any statutory/recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST Candidates). And has at least 2 years of work experience after graduation.
  • Final year graduation students also can apply, though they should not have any backlog at the time of admission. 

INFRASTRUCTURE – Symbiosis-SCMHRD Pune

SCMHRD has an ultra-modern administrative and academic campus of its own. The campus has dedicated spacious classrooms for each program with state-of-the-art audio-visual teaching facilities, conference halls, discussions rooms, and an auditorium. Separate Hostels for Girls & Boys.

A. Library

An excellent library has access to more than 26216 books, 38 periodicals, and 2246 CDs & 522 DVDs. In-house publications, a wide variety of data based on a wide variety of management subjects are available for students. These include EBSCO, EMERALD, JSTOR, Science Direct, Euro Monitor, Bloomberg, INDIASTAT.COM, HBS Cases, databases of CMIE, etc

B. Computer Lab

Fully equipped six computer laboratories with about 278 workstations are available to students for teaching as well as practice. 24 hours Wi-Fi Internet connectivity is available in the academic and residential blocks

C. Mess

A mess facility and a well-stocked cafeteria are available on campus and all students are dining members of the mess. The campus also has a Nescafe outlet and juice shop. Further, there is a provision store which caters to the basic daily needs of the students.

D. Health Club

The campus has a swimming pool, Basketball & Volleyball courts, Gymnasium, etc. The gym is well-equipped and employs qualified instructors. The yoga center helps students de-stress and attain physical and mental well-being. The institute provides excellent health care and medical facilities. A health care center is managed by the Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), with a residential medical officer on the campus. SIHS has a team of specialized doctors who conduct the (compulsory) annual health check-up. Every student is insured under the Mediclaim and Road Traffic Accident Policy.

Application Procedure

SCMHRD Direct MBA Admission

All Indian students are required to register and appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), which would be held on three days- 19th December 2021, 8th January 2022 & 16th January 2022. SNAP 2021 can be attempted on any two of the three days mentioned above. The candidate has to decide well in advance if she/he plans to take SNAP once or twice. 

Admission Process as applicable for SNAP Test to be held on 19th, December 2020, 8th January 2022 & 16th January 2022.

For MBA (Core)

Step 1Register for SNAP on http://snaptest.org/ and make the payment of Rs.1950/- for each attempt. (For one attempt-Rs. 1950/-. For two attempts-Rs. 3900/-) Last date to apply for SNAP is 27th November 2021
Step 2Select the option MBA – SCMHRD in the list of programmes given in the SNAP form. An additional fee of Rs.1000/- needs to be paid for the same. The last date for applying to SCMHRD is 07th January 2022 till 11:59 pm
Step 3Appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), which would be held on 19th December 2021, 8th January 2022 & 16th January 2022

Admission to SCMHRD will be according to the following process as applicable for Batch 2022-24

LEVEL 1 – Based on the SNAP score, a List of short-listed candidates for the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Exercise, and Personal Interaction (GEPI) process will be declared (http://www.scmhrd.edu/mbaadmissions).
LEVEL 2 – Shortlisted candidates to book the slot and Appear for Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Exercise, and Personal Interaction (GEPI) process.
LEVEL 3 -Declaration of final merit list by SCMHRD

Final selection would be based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in SNAP, Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Exercise, and Personal Interaction (GEPI).
