PGDM Direct Admission in Bimtech. Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was established in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, supported by the Birla Group of Companies. The institute is situated in Greater Noida. Late Dr. (Smt.) Sarala Birla and Late B K Birla, chairperson of the B K Birla Group of companies are the founders of the business school. BIMTECH has been accredited with an ‘A+’ grade by NAAC. The B-School offers AICTE-approved postgraduate courses in General Management, International Business, Insurance Business, and Retail Management.

BIMTECH is mini-India in its formation every year. It has students coming almost from all the states of India, and also from a few foreign countries. BIMTECH is like a school where international business endeavors are also made. Its mix of nationalities, cultural backgrounds, and academic and professional experiences make BIMTECH one of the most exciting and enriching business schools in the country.

With the competition quotient on the rise every year due to the increasing number of PGDM aspirants, many candidates find it difficult to get admission to the B-school of their choice.

Similarly, many top B-schools in India have very stringent selection standards when it comes to PGDM Admissions. Especially, when it comes to the academic background of the students, B-schools tend to be particularly harsh, rejecting many deserving candidates. Such candidates also opt for direct PGDM admission mode to join B-schools of their choice through management quota, NRI quota, and such other quotas.

When it comes to premier B-schools such as IIMs and SPJIMER, XLRI, and others; they follow a centralized admission process through which candidates are granted admission as per their merit and not necessarily as per their choice in terms of specializations, programs, and B-schools. Many a time, candidates are forced to seek direct admission to PGDM Colleges as they are unwilling to leave their state or city to join B-schools in a different location.

Eligibility for General Category:

1. Minimum 50 percent marks in Graduation. Candidates appearing in Final Year Graduation Examination (1st attempt) in Summer 2023 can also apply. Such candidates will have to produce final year results of Graduation with min. 50% marks in aggregate on or before 31st October 2023 failing which their provisional admission will be automatically canceled.

2.(a) For admission to PGDM & PGDM (IB), an applicant must have a valid CAT 2022 or valid XAT 2023 or valid CMAT 2023 or valid GMAT 2022-23 score.

(b) For admission to PGDM (RM) & PGDM (IBM) an applicant must have valid CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score.

(B) Other Categories

10 percent seats will be filled through Corporate Sponsored /NRI/NRI sponsored/International Students category.

Eligibility for Corporate Sponsored Category:

1. Minimum 50 percent marks in Graduation. Candidates appearing in Final Year Graduation Examination (1st attempt) in Summer 2023 can also apply. Such candidates will have to produce final year result of Graduation with min. 50% marks in aggregate on or before 31st October 2023 failing which their provisional admission will be automatically cancelled.

2. For being eligible under Corporate Sponsored Category, the applicant will have to produce the following at the time of submission of first instalment of tuition fee. (Tentatively in last week of March, 2023)

(a) A sponsorship letter from the Company is required as per format prescribed by the Institute.

(b) The sponsoring company must have annual turnover of Rs. 50 crores minimum as reflected in the latest financial statements available. (Audited copy of the balance sheet/ Profit & Loss Account of preceding financial year i.e. 2021-22). Self-attested photocopy to be submitted, failing which first instalment of tuition fee will not be accepted.

* Weightage for work experience would ideally be given to a candidate only if he/she had worked in an executive or supervisory role for a minimum period of one year as on 31/01/2023, in a registered company having a turnover of Rs. 50 crores or more in the preceding financial year i.e. 2021-22. However, management reserves the right to relax this particular norm on the merit of the case, if the candidate is from a start-up, entrepreneurial or social organization.
