About VITEEE Exam

VITEEE Computer Based Test(CBT) conducted in April and the duration of the entrance examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The exam will be conducted in 3 sessions per day.
All questions will be of Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ).
PART-I Physics, PART-II Chemistry, PART-III Mathematics / Biology, PART-IV English Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English are eligible for all the BTech programs offered.
All the questions will mostly be from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus.
Each part has 40 questions and English has 5 questions with each question carrying one mark.
Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and click the same.
No negative marks for wrong answers.
The Question paper will be in English only and Equating Methodology will be used to adjust scores on test forms

Selection Criteria

On the basis of rank, a candidate secures after giving CBT (Computer Based Test) VITEEE 2023, and the selection is done.
With a rank, students can participate in online counselling and can select the campus, program, and category of fees. However, allotment will be made based on the rank obtained and the options available then.
Students having a rank up to 1 Lakh are eligible for counselling at Vellore and Chennai campuses.
After making the payment of VIT Vellore Admission fees, VIT will check the eligibility criteria.
Every student is required to present documents on the day of coming to campus or as and when asked by the Office of Admissions

What Eligibility?

The candidate belonging to the general category must have cleared their class 12 board examination or equivalent with a minimum aggregate percentage of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
Candidate belongs to SC/ST hailing from Jammu & Kashmir/ Ladakh and the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, scoring 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology is required.
The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects in their class 12 board examination.
Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for direct admission in VIT Vellore.
Applicant should be a Resident/Non-Resident Indian National/ROI. However, NRI applicants can directly apply under the “NRI category” through the application form. Similarly, foreign applicants who study or study abroad can apply directly through an international application form.
