BTech Eligibility

Candidates who seek admission to the programs offered under the Bachelor of Technology at CMR Institute of Technology need to check if they meet the BTech eligibility criteria of CMRIT before beginning their application process. The minimum eligibility criteria for BTech admission are as follows:
The candidate must have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC or standard 12th or its equivalent
He/ She must have studied Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science.
English must be one of the subjects studied in Class 12th.
The minimum percentage in previous years of study should be 45%. The minimum percentage for SC/ ST/ OBC should be 40%.
The candidate must have appeared in the JEE/ TS EAMCET/ COMED-K entrance examination and must hold a valid rank card.
Candidates who hold a diploma in engineering can also take direct admission in BE second year. The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the final year of examination conducted by the Board of Technical Examination, Government of Karnataka or equivalent. They must also appear in the Common Entrance Test (DCET) and attend the counseling process.
