Thapar University BE/BTech Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the B.E/BTech program is based on JEE Mains 2024 and 10+2 PCM. So, the candidate is required to fill out the application form for Thapar University BTech Admission 2024 one time only. Based on it, students can seek admission through either mode.

Mode 1 – BTech Admission based on JEE Main

• Student must pass 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics, and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Technical Vocational subject*.
• Student must have appeared in JEE Main 2024
• Student must possess a good moral character
• Students must be a citizen of India.
• Student must pass 10+2 exam in 2022, 2023 or appearing in 2024

Mode 2 – BTech Admission based on 10+2 marks in PCM

Candidate must pass 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 70% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics, and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Technical Vocational subject*
• Candidate must have appeared in JEE Main 2024
• Candidate possesses a good moral character
• Students must be a citizen of India.
• Student must pass 10+2 exam in 2022, 2023 or appearing in 2024
