City Engineering College (CEC), established under Jayanagar Education Society by Dr K.R. Paramahamsa, Chairman, in the year 2001. CEC is one of the most sought colleges by students from across the country for Engineering and Management Education. Responsibilities

The mentor will perform the following functions can always do more for the benefit of the students. Meet the group of students at least twice a month.

Continuously monitor, counsel, guide, and motivate the students in all academic matters.
Advise students regarding the choice of electives, projects, summer training, etc.
Contact parents/guardians if the situation demands e.g. academic irregularities, negative behavioral changes, and interpersonal relations, detrimental activities, etc.
Advise students in their career development/professional guidance.
Intimate HOD and suggest if any administrative action is called for.
Maintain a detailed progressive record of the student.

The Implementation Procedure of the Scheme:

A Mentor-Mentee Scheme comprises the chief coordinator and coordinators.

Students are divided into groups of 20-25 students, in each group. 2025 Apply for BTech CEC.
Each group is allotted a Mentor.
A Diary is issued to all mentors in which all relevant information about each student is entered.
A list is prepared with group number, name of the Mentor, name of allotted students, their classes, and the venue where they will assemble for Meet.
The Mentor is free to organize any activity like debate, general discussion, cultural activity, etc., so that students may feel free with their Mentor and develop rapport.
After Counselling the Mentor submits its report to the coordinator.

Objectives

To assist faculty, staff members, research scholars and students in writing research proposals to receive research grants from funding agencies like DRDO, DST, AICTE, UGC, Industries etc.
To encourage faculty, staff members, research scholars and students to publish papers in National and reputed International Conferences/ Journals/Magazines.
To ensure functional autonomy, transparency, accountability and adaptability by strengthening inter linkages to create a conducive research environment.
To facilitate the growth of research activity among the academic community.

The purpose of the library and information centre is to provide accessible quality technological, general, and professional educational resources and effective services to support the needs of CEC students and Faculty.
