Thapar University Admission Process
Admission BTech Thapar 2025. Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) or Thapar University (deemed-to-be) offers UG, PG, and doctorate programs under multiple streams, such as Engineering, Science, Technology, and more. These programs are offered in seven schools, 10 departments, and over nine centers.
Thapar University’s admission process is both merit and entrance-based, depending on the course. Candidates must have class 12 and a valid JEE Main score to get admission. Apart from JEE Main, it also accepts other national-level entrance exams for admission to MBA, ME/ MTech courses.
Appear for the Entrance Test
Admission BTech Thapar 2025. Further, aspirants are required to appear for the entrance test i.e. JEE Main/ NEET for Thapar University BTech admission. Additionally, if the students have a valid score in JEE Main or NEET they need to mention their scores in the TIET application form.
Thapar University BE/BTech Eligibility Criteria
Admission BTech Thapar 2025. Admission to the B.E/BTech program is based on JEE Mains 2024 and 10+2 PCM. So, the candidate is required to fill out the application form for Thapar University BTech Admission one time only. Based on it, students can seek admission through either mode.
Mode 1 – BTech Admission based on JEE Main
• The student must pass 10+2 or an equivalent exam with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics, and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Technical Vocational subject*.
• Student must have appeared in JEE Main 2024
• Student must possess a good moral character
• Students must be a citizens of India.
Mode 2 – BTech Admission based on 10+2 marks in PCM
• Admission to BTech Thapar University 2025. Candidate must pass 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 70% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics, and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Technical Vocational subject*
• Candidate must have appeared in JEE Main 2024
• The candidate possesses a good moral character
• Students must be a citizens of India.
• Student must pass the 10+2 exam in 2022, 2023 or appearing in 2025
In the final round of counselling, the remaining seat will be filled through Mode 2 shall be filled through Mode 1, and vice versa.
